Wood Quay is unique, Not only because it is a beautiful house, sensitively restored, but it is in the harbour, literally surrounded on three sides by water, yet it is also right in the middle of Carlingford village. An ideal venue for weekends, for family parties, conferences, meetings, etc.
The house was built in 1840. It has been magnificiently restored, using exclusively salvage materials. The main room is a gracious, high ceiling room of huge propotions - 85 feet x 45 feet with a fireplace at one end and an aga cooker at other end. The conservatory is the same size, with just 3 feet between it and the water. We have uninterrputed views of Carlingford Lough and the mountains. Heaven!
The Private Pier can be used as a swimming platform or as a mooring. There is also an enclosed garden.
